“We were getting off the bus and people passing by there, they knew you”
Ezen Inside Podcast #166: 🇪🇸 Albert Altarriba (New York Red Bulls | FCBarcelona)
Alex de la Vega (host):
“Albert, tell me something whatever it is that people give it a lot of value but you, not.”
Albert:
“With the physical preparation I would say …, maybe I apply it to high-performance football; people outside more than those who are inside; they see you for having treated X player or so, ufff this guy … the fame … I remember me when they put me in Barcelona B… I was with the staff of Luis Enrique … and even in Barca B it was not an exaggeration I do not know if you can imagine…
we as staffs we were getting off the bus and people passing by there, they knew you … you could believe you were invincible…
but at the end, we need to remember we work for the players – I don’t care about that fame or being in the photo or not, or going out in the Videos… and I think there are people who do give an extra value to that.
There are people who give excessive importance to their EGO, to the fact of feeling important. I personally do not give importance to that.”
